A 6,4 MWp photovoltaic plant was installed on the roof of Jacto's manufacturing unit, located in Pompeia (SP), with design, installation and commissioning carried out by TTS Energia. In total, the system has more than 11,3 photovoltaic modules installed on the roof of the agricultural equipment factory, covering an area of almost 39 square meters.

The project has the capacity to generate 8 GWh/year, enough to supply a large part of the electricity demand of the company's operations. According to the company, The project is part of the self-production model, a modality in which the consumer is, at the same time, the generator of the energy he uses and is part of the ACL (Free Contracting Environment).

In addition to the solar roof on the warehouse, TTS Energia also installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of the Jacto factory's carport. The 886 kW plant has 1,6 photovoltaic modules spread over an area of 6,1 square meters. This installation alone has a generation capacity of 1,17 GWh/year.

“The use of large roofs to install solar power plants, both in rural and urban areas, is a trend in Brazil and is one of the great solutions for companies and agricultural producers seeking to reduce electricity costs, secure electricity supply and increase competitiveness and sustainability for their business,” explained Jacques Hulshof, executive director of TTS Energia.

“In practice, these projects transform a cost center, that is, a roof that generates expenses, into a large source of revenue from solar energy, in addition to reinforcing the ESG policies of agribusiness companies and other business segments,” he concluded.
