Aldo Solar, distributor of IT products and leader in solutions for solar energy generation in the country, sees 2022 as a year of growth and intends to achieve all the goals proposed for this year: “For this year, our goal is to grow by 100 %”, says Aldo Teixeira, founder of Aldo Solar.
The company expects to supply more than 2 GW of power, with around 310 solar energy generators sold throughout Brazil. As a result, Aldo estimates revenues of more than R$6 billion.
According to data from the ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Energy Association), each 1 GW of installed power is capable of generating more than 30 thousand new jobs throughout the chain.
According to Aldo Solar, 2022 is the most advantageous year to adopt solar energy as the new rates only come into effect in 2045 for those who purchase their generator this year.
New investments in the solar sector exceed R$74,6 billion, including large plants and energy generation systems, generating more than 420 thousand jobs accumulated since 2012.
According to data collected on the website of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), as of December 2021, Brazil already had 404.733 generators installed in Brazilian homes or companies.
However, in 2021 Aldo Solar went through a challenging year. The coronavirus pandemic and its new variants have resulted in supply problems in China, a rising dollar and logistical issues related to international shipping. Even so, Aldo grew three digits and employed around 170 employees.
With Brazil increasingly taking advantage of sunlight as a source of renewable energy and with the new regulations, Aldo says it seeks the democratization of solar energy and considers this fact more essential than ever: “We hope to make 2022 the best year for energy solar energy in our country”, concludes Aldo.
