Argentina announces tax incentive for solar energy

Projects located in the districts of Buenos Aires and Córdoba can now take advantage of the benefit

Argentina's undersecretariat for renewable energy and energy efficiency announced new sector regulations that will enable tax benefits for commercial and industrial photovoltaic projects up to 2 MW.

According to the entity's note, the benefit will be granted through a tax credit certificate (CCF) that can be used to pay Argentine national taxes equivalent to income tax and Brazilian profit tax. These certificates may reach USD $15.000 per kW installed, up to a limit of USD $1.000.000 per project.

Projects located in the districts of Buenos Aires and Córdoba can already enjoy the benefit, with the rest of the country ing the benefit in the coming months.
