O Boticário Group is expanding the use of renewable energy In yours outlets own e franchisees No. northeast, Midwest e Southeast from Brazil through the program Energy of Tomorrow, a partnership between the Apothecary and Raízen Power.

O Boticário already uses energy from 100% renewable sources of direct operations, since 2023. Now, search promote the use of renewable energy to cause a positive environmental impact on society.

The program is in expansion for more franchised stores in the states of Bahia, Espírito Santo, Pernambuco, Tocantins, Ceará e Mato Grosso, Goiás e Para

After an eligibility review, approved outlets will be connected to one of the renewable energy plants available in the region and will receive the I-REC, international certificates which attest to renewable source of the energy consumed.

In addition to generating sustainability process, the initiative has the potential to reduce operating costs and stores, reducing the energy bills electrical at points of sale. 

Os resources saved will be destined to the Viva Water Fund created by Boticário Group Foundation for Nature Protection, a philanthropic fund that brings together different sectors to promote water security e adaptation to climate changes by actions of environmental Conservation and encouragement to impact entrepreneurship.

In addition to the objective of ensuring sustainability process, the fund seeks strengthen the ecosystem of impact on Guanabara's Bay, an area of ​​great environmental and cultural value.

According to the company, the program represents another step forward towards “Commitments for the Future of the Boticário Group”, and, among the various goals, corroborates the action plan for the scope 3 carbon emissions reduction.

The Group aims to reduce by 17% indirect greenhouse gas emissions, compared to 2022.

Mariana Cavanha, Senior Sustainability Manager at Grupo Boticário, states that the project “is not just another renewable energy supply program, it is a engagement lever of our entire franchisee ecosystem to actively participate in transition for a low-carbon economy, while at the same time ing an initiative to conservation of our biodiversity". 

To Bruno Lopes, Commercial, Marketing and Innovation Director at Raízen Power, the company's purpose is “democratize access to renewable energy for all types of consumers nationwide, from large companies to residential and commercial units”.
