O Senate approved, on October 6th, the draft legislative decree 271/2021, which allows Brazil's hip of the ASI (International Solar Alliance) – intergovernmental coalition that brings together nations with the best solar resources across the planet.

O order from Brazil to the ASI was forwarded by the Presidency of the Republic to the National Congress on February 26, 2018, on a priority basis. O text awaits promulgation.

"Is initiative represents an important step for Brazil in international positioning, as our territory has one of the best solar resources in the world”, emphasizes Vinicius Gibrail, general director of Array STI Norland Brasil.

The announcement of the formation of International Solar Energy Alliance took place during the first day of the Climate Conference in Paris, on November 30, 2015, by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, and François Hollande, President of .

About the Alliance

The Alliance is a agreement between 121 countries located between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn — the sunniest regions in the world.

aim to reduce the costs of solar financing and technology around the world, drive new projects by mobilizing more than US$1 trillion in investment for massive solar deployment by 2030, and encourage new technologies with the Sun as the primary resource .

“A Brazil's integration into the ASI will bring benefits to the country through incentive policies, financing, regulation, research and development of new technologies. Furthermore, it will help the country accelerate the development and implementation of photovoltaic sources”, concludes the executive.
