Centralized solar energy production totaled 2.840 MWmed in the first half of October, representing a growth of 45,7% compared to the same period in 2022, when 1.943 MWmed were generated. The data are from CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber).
According to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), centralized solar represents 5,40% of the Brazilian electricity matrix, with 10,5 GW of monitored power.
Hydroelectric plants, in turn, generate 46.784 MWmed in the period, a growth of 9,1%. Wind generation remained practically stable, with 13.770 MWmed (0,7%). Highlight is the performance of thermoelectric plants, whose production fell -18,4%, to 7.283 MWmed.
Energy consumption
The CCEE's fortnightly bulletin also shows that national electricity consumption was 67.697 MWmed, which represents an increase of 4,2% or 2.740 MWmed more than in the first half of October 2022. Highlighting the positive variations in states of Acre (25,8%), Maranhão (19%), Mato Grosso (17,8%) and Amazonas (16,6%).
