In the search for cleaner and more sustainable energy sources, centralized solar power generation stands out in the Brazilian energy scenario.

According to data from CCEE Fortnightly InfoMarket (Electric Energy Trading Chamber), centralized solar energy plants produced 3.125 MWmed in the first half of November, ing a significant growth of 91,5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

This notable increase not only underlines the solar energy potential as a viable alternative, but also highlights the growing commitment towards cleaner and renewable energy sources.

O Salt, which has always been a source of light and heat, now emerges as a powerful energy source, boosting the energy transition the country.

When analyzing the numbers presented, we observed that, on the same basis of comparison, hydraulic generation reached 49.971 MWmed, representing a solid increase of 6%.

Wind farms also contributed significantly, generating 11.727 MWmed, with growth of 40,3%. Meanwhile, thermal power plants, although still playing an important role, saw a 1,5% reduction, producing 8.104 MWmed.

Another intriguing fact is the self-production performance, which ed a notable increase of 31,9%, reaching 1.384 MWmed.

This increase highlights not only the evolution of power generation strategies, but also the growing participation of consumers in producing their own energy. This not only promotes autonomy, but also contributes to the construction of a more distributed and resilient energy landscape.

With regard to national energy consumption, the figures presented between November 1st and 15th indicate robust growth of 11,1%, reaching the mark of 69.859 MWmed.

This increase in demand, coupled with the significant expansion in centralized solar power generation, highlights the growing need to invest in sustainable energy sources to meet national demand.
