I can proudly say that the Aldo Solar has always been concerned about ESG stocks. We want the three pillars (environmental, social and governance) to be present in each of Aldo's activities. This is our way of demonstrating responsibility and commitment to society and the planet.

I am attentive to any and all opportunities we have to carry out socio-cultural, health, sporting and environmental actions, whether through tax exemption or not. It is important that businesspeople are aware of these opportunities and do good.

In our case, we strive to entities that are closest to us geographically. We also look at those that are linked to our DNA, as is the case with our for Brazilian tennis.

While the projects we are diverse, they still have a lot in common. These are initiatives and entities that value life, the well-being of children, protection of the environment, encouragement of culture and sport, and the advancement of health.

In the meantime, we continue to allocate part of the amount to be paid to the Federal Union relating to IRPJ (Corporate Income Tax) to important Brazilian actions and projects. In all, During Q4 2021, we invested more than R$2 million in ESG shares. Each reseller is co-responsible for this great result.

Currently, there are four actions focused on encouraging culture. They are in accordance with the Lei Rouanet, officially the Federal Culture Incentive Law. Thus, the law authorizes producers to seek private investment to finance cultural initiatives.

They are:

  • Dance for children – Hospital Pequeno Príncipe;
  • Guga Kuerten Collection – Guga Kuerten Institute;
  • ion of Christ in Maringá – Lírius Association;
  • Merkabah Project.

These performances and social projects help, each in their own way, to make culture more accessible to the entire population. In case of Guga Kuerten Collection, we the digitization and catag of tennis player memory. Thus, Guga's story can inspire generations.

Speaking of sports, we also have ESG actions on Sports Incentive Law – Lie. It allows companies and individuals to invest part of what they would pay in income tax in sports projects. These are projects approved by the Special Secretariat for Sports of the Ministry of Citizenship. Thus, companies can invest up to 1% of this amount.

Today, Aldo Solar encourages two projects through LIE:

  • Champions of Life Sports and Education Program – Guga Kuerten Institute;
  • Brazil Tennis Network.

O Champions of Life Sports and Education Program has been offering educational, social and sporting opportunities aimed at the integral development of children and adolescents in situations of social, economic and/or educational vulnerability since 2002.

Also regarding Brazilian tennis, we are proud to sponsor the Brazil Tennis Network. The project is the result of the union, in 2020, of two of the largest tennis massification and training entities in the country: the Tennis Institute and the Tennis Route Academy. Today, RTB impacts the lives of thousands of children and young people.

Another way to children is by investing in actions to FIA (Fund for Children and Adolescents). This fund is authorized by Federal Law 8.069/1990, and is created to capture and apply financial resources specifically intended for the area of childhood and adolescence.

Our ESG actions aimed at the FIA are in of the following institutions:

  • Children's School Home;
  • Little Prince Hospital.

O Maringá Children's School Home began its activities on May 10, 1963. It currently works with the Coexistence and Strengthening of Bonds Service and Learning Program and always with the objective of developing a line of action that enables integration between the institution, family, school and community.

for the project “For the Right to Life III”, from Hospital Pequeno Príncipe, aims to realize the right to life and health of children and adolescents by promoting hospital and outpatient care.

Finally, we also participate in actions on the Pronon (National Oncology Care Program). The program has been operating since 2021, through Law No. 12.715/12. In this way, the project makes it possible for companies to allocate 1% of their income tax to the advancement of oncology in Brazil.

We maintain incentives for six projects ed by Pronon:

  • Expansion of the Bone Marrow Transplant Service;
  • Pequeno Príncipe Advanced Oncological Diagnostic Center;
  • Continuing Training;
  • Elderly Incentive Law;
  • Elderly Fund;
  • APAE Maringá (also through the Elderly Fund).

These projects help to guarantee a better quality of life and dignity for the elderly, with accommodation, treatments, courses for those who will care for these elderly people, as well as encouraging physical, cultural and leisure activities.

Finally, I leave here my message of encouragement to companies that want to do more for the communities that surround them. As seen in this article, there are several laws that entrepreneurs to contribute to a more inclusive, welcoming and sustainable society.

Search for institutions close to your company, get to know them closely. Knowing that you are part of projects that have such a positive impact on people is priceless.
