The MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) published the Ordinance no. 99 / 2025, postponing the deadline for ing projects to participate in the Auction for Supply to Isolated Systems from 12:20 pm on February 12th to 28:XNUMX pm on February XNUMXth.

The auction, scheduled for May 2025, will begin on December 20, 2027, with 15-year contracts. Three lots will be offered to serve 169 consumers in 11 regions of the states of Amazonas and Pará. The expectation is to contract 49,7 MW of power, with estimated investments of R$452 million.

A new feature of this auction is the requirement that at least 22% of the contracted energy be generated from renewable sources, with or without storage systems.

In addition to the extension of the registration deadline, the EPE (Energy Research Company) updated auction-related documents, adjusting the requirements for technical qualification. The instructions were revised to include the new required powers, verified load curves (2023) and projected curves for all locations involved.

The “Technical Report” was also adjusted to adapt the power demanded and the capacity factor of the participating regions. Finally, EPE updated the FAQ with new information about the process of ing and qualifying solutions for the auction.
