MME extends public consultation on provision of ancillary services

Following requests from agents in the electrical sector, the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) extended the Public Consultation 145/2022 which deals with provision of ancillary services. Contributions can be sent until March 8th.

Ancillary services are those supplementary to the services provided by Brazilian electricity sector agents and which contribute to the guarantee of the operation of the National Interconnected System (SIN). They are the ones who the safety, reliability and quality of the SIN operation for the benefit of all Brazilian electricity consumers.

The expectation is that the contributions will make future improvements related to the topic more robust, so that they can guide decision-making and enhance opportunities.
