Os transmission concession contracts do second auction for 2023, the greatest in history, were signed yesterday (03) by Alexandre Silveira, Minister of Mines and Energy. The investments can reach $ 21,7 billion

In total, the length of the network should reach 4.471 km with a power of 9.840 MW and generate about 37 thousand direct and indirect jobs. According to the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), the discount (average auction discount) was 40,85%.

The interconnection works will be responsible for transporting the surplus energy produced by renewable sources in the Northeast to load centers in the rest of the country. Construction will take place in five states: Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Tocantins. Construction of the project is expected to take between 60 and 72 months.

The MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) estimates that by 2027 the Northeast will contribute with a growth of 13.328 MW to the installed capacity in the SIN (National Interconnected System).

The auction had three negotiated lots. The champions were the Chinese State Grid, followed by the Spanish Celeo Redes and the Brazilian Alupar, in a consortium with the Mercury fund. The companies will be responsible for building and maintaining transmission lines.
