The Ministry of Education created Qualifica Mais EnergIFE, a program with the aim of qualifying professionals in the renewable energy sector, in which at least 20% of vacancies will be allocated to women.
In total, R$34 million will be invested in more than 17 thousand vacancies for professionals installing photovoltaic systems, expanding the offer of professional and technological education, in addition to promoting the sector.
In order to encourage female participation in the electricity sector, vacancies are offered by 144 teaching units at federal educational institutions.
The project will be implemented through the training grant within the scope of Pronatec (National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment), referring to Law No. 12.513/2011, regulated by Ordinance No. 1.042/2021, and by FNDE Resolution No. 04/2013.
“This is a program that, in addition to democratizing access to education and emphasizing the importance of women in the sector, contributes greatly to the development of the energy transition in the country,” points out ABSOLAR.
