The investments of neoenergy em renewable em 2022 boosted the increase of company's solar and wind generation by 70% compared to 2021, with a total of 3.934 GWh.

According to the company, the growth was also seen in the last quarter of the year with 41,46% over the same previous period, with 1.072 GWh.

Profit in the business segment was R$314 million in the year to date, which represents an increase of 1.156% compared to 2021. EBITDA was R$948 million, an increase of 82% over last year.

The results were increased by the start of commercial operations at Neoenergia Oitis, a wind complex between Piauí and Bahia; and at Neoenergia Luzia, the company's first solar park complex, located in Paraíba.

“The positive results are a reflection of the investments made in renewable sources. In wind farms, R$1,2 billion were invested in 2022 alone. It is worth ing that we are entering the final phase of Oitis assembly”, stated Laura Porto, executive director of Renewables at Neoenergia.

“The investments made in the Neoenergia Luzia solar complex amounted to R$464 million in 2022. This shows that the company remains firm in its purpose of decarbonization and the development of new technologies”, he highlighted.

Neoenergia's assets in operation and under construction total 44 wind farms, 2 solar parks, in addition to 7 hydroelectric plants.

In photovoltaic generation, the Neoenergia Luzia complex will have 149 MWp, with generating units scheduled for completion next month. All of its energy is destined for the free market, with 100% already sold by 2026.
