Paraíba will have a credit program for solar energy for companies

O Government of Paraíba announced the creation of a credit program focused on acquiringsolar energy systems to micro and small businesses of State. 

Called Undertake Solar, initiative aims to release near R $ million 4,5 so that these companies can carry out loans worth between R$15 thousand and R$150 thousand, aiming to purchase distributed generation photovoltaic kits. 

The program was announced, this Monday (12), by governor João Azevedo, during Conversa com o Governador, a program maintained and broadcast by the Government of Paraíba itself.

Despite the announcement, the chief executive did not give any more details about the initiative, much less talk about when the program should start operating.

Solar energy in Paraíba

Currently, the Paraíba it's just the 19th Brazilian state with greater volume of Photovoltaic systems installed own generation, according to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency). 

The town today has just over 24,2 thousand ed connections, only ahead of the numbers recorded by Alagoas, Rondônia, Distrito Federal Sergipe, Amazonas, Acre, Amapá and Roraima, all of which have less than 20 thousand distributed generation systems.

In of installed power, the state has just over 300 MW recorded by the Agency in the segment. This is a much lower volume when compared to regions such as São Paulo; Minas Gerais; Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná, which lead the national statistics with more than 2 GW each.
