This month, the Paulínia Municipal Hospital received the installation of a solar energy system. The investment, of R$4,9 million, was made through the program FL in Hospitals, covered by the PEE (Energy Efficiency Program) of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).
In total, the plant installed on the roof has a capacity of 873,2 kWp. The estimate is that the plant will generate around 2.430 MWh per year, equivalent to the monthly consumption of 1.025 homes.
According to the institution, the initiative will directly contribute to reducing operating costs, allowing resources to be directed towards services, in addition to promoting sustainability by avoiding the emission of 132,4 tons of CO₂ annually.
Furthermore, the project included the modernization of the chilled water plant, which now operates with four chillers and six pumps automated by sensors and a digital platform.
