O Teachers' Day is celebrated this Tuesday (15), and the teachers of the Canal Solar have a important role in the training of specialists which are directly linked to the advancement of the energy transition.
O Canal Solar is main source of news and technical information about the electricity and solar photovoltaic energy sector in Latin America. In addition to news, articles and columns, we produce technical webinars, podcasts, interviews and teach solar energy courses.
Over these six years of experience, the Canal Solar seeks to contribute to the development of photovoltaic solar energy in Brazil, through information, education and training. Currently, the Canal Solar counts with more than ten specialized teachers and has already trained around 8 thousand students.
For Felipe Marques, professor of Civil Engineering for solar energy systems at Canal Solar, being a teacher is the mission to teach and the unique opportunity to train professionals who seek to specialize in photovoltaic solar energy.
“It’s inspiring to think that every student who attends my classes is an essential part of building a more sustainable and resilient world. I love teaching, and my enthusiasm for renewable energy is something I’m keen to share,” says Marques.
“I believe that my role goes beyond imparting technical knowledge; it is about awakening in students the importance of being critical and applying technical concepts in the field. I want them to understand the importance of each detail and feel encouraged to challenge concepts, propose innovations and always strive for excellence,” he added.
“For me, learning is a continuous process, and I feel honored to be able to guide this journey, providing them not only with the necessary tools to operate in the market, but also with an inspiring vision of how they can make a difference,” he added.
“The field of photovoltaic solar energy is fascinating, full of challenges and opportunities. Promoting this knowledge is a way to contribute to a better world, with technologies that promote sustainability. As a professor, I have the privilege of planting these seeds and closely following the growth of each of these future professionals,” concluded Marques.
Solar energy in schools contributes to the advancement of education in the country
Adrissamara Guirra, partner at Sublime Solar, reports having already completed all the courses in the Canal Solar. “The courses offered by the Solar Channel gave me a practical perspective, so through the classes and the networking that happens during the classes, the teachers answer everyday questions. We end up having a more critical perspective when analyzing a client’s case, for example.”
Who also commented on their experience with the teachers at Canal Solar was the electrical engineer Vitor Moreira, who took courses in medium voltage cabins, power plants and psyst courses.
“I would like to thank the teachers immensely, who have an extraordinary teaching method and are able to explain very elaborate and sometimes difficult concepts in a very simple way, which become easy with this teaching method. Congratulations on the courses,” said Moreira.
On this Teachers' Day, we pay tribute and thank all educators who, with dedication and knowledge, train the professionals responsible for building the future of the solar sector.
The work of each teacher is essential to guarantee quality and sustainability in the photovoltaic energy market.
Currently, the most sought-after courses for those wishing to train in the solar energy and storage sector are; Advanced Design of Plants up to 3 MW, Fundamentals of Solar Energy and Commercial and Sales for the Solar Sector.
