A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) reported that the tariff flag for the month of March 2023 will remain green. The announcement was made by the Agency last Friday (24).
According to ANEEL, the green flag remained in place due to the favorable conditions for generation in the country.
“The signaling indicates that there will be no additional cost on consumers’ electricity bills, a scenario that has remained since April 2022,” the Agency stated.
“The green flag, valid for all consumers of the SIN (National Interconnected System), reflects the improvement in the levels of hydroelectric reservoirs, benefiting from the rainy season”, added the ANEEL.
The general director of ANEEL, Sandoval Feitosa, highlighted the importance of maintaining the green flag, which demonstrates the supply of sufficient electricity to meet demand. The flag system “allows consumers to know the status of energy generation on a monthly basis”.
