A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) a dispatch from the substitute general director, Agnes Maria de Aragão da Costa, which complies with a decision by the Federal Court.

The decision extends the deadline for negotiations between Amazonas Energia and Âmbar Energia by 60 days, in addition to authorizing the immediate transfer of R$91,1 million to the Amazonas concessionaire.

The decision complies with the injunction granted by the Federal Court, which extended the deadline for closing the purchase of the concessionaire by Âmbar Energia, which belongs to the J&F group. Initially, the deadline was scheduled to end on October 31, 2024.

The millionaire transfer refers to the first monthly payment, for the period from October 10 to 31, 2024. The amount will be transferred by CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber).

The measure was determined to ensure compliance with the concessionaire's financial obligations during the transition process.
