This last Monday (24), the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) and the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) signed a Mou (Memorandum of Understanding) for mutual cooperation on issues related to electricity.

The plan includes study and training projects related to regulation, energy efficiency, technological innovation and energy transition.

According to Sandoval Feitosa, general director of ANEEL, the partnership will be essential to improve the services offered to society and assist countries that, at the moment, do not have regularization.

Director Agnes da Costa highlighted the experience of the technicians at BID throughout the projects and for the Agency's decisions on relevant topics, such as technological innovation.

Annette Bettina Kilmer, IDB representative in Brazil, focused on reducing relations between institutions and opening up new opportunities for cooperation.

With a duration of three years, the agreement aims at sustainable development in addition to social inclusion, addressing issues such as globalization of access to energy and efficient monitoring.
