The board of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) maintained, this Tuesday (28), two fines to CEEE-D (State Electric Energy Distribution Company) totaling R$ 32,8 million for non-compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to the supply of electricity, which occurred in 2022.
By the decision, the Agency denied appeals filed by the Rio Grande do Sul concessionaire against the penalties, originally applied by Agergs (State Agency for the Regulation of Delegated Public Services of the Rio Grande do Sul), partner of ANEEL no state.
The highest fine, of R$29,34 million, was the result of an inspection by Agergs, which found poor service provision between March 5 and 16, 2022, due to heavy rain and strong winds in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre and in the South of the State.

There were interruptions in the power supply to more than 65 thousand consumer units, in addition to consumer complaints about failures in customer service.
The other fine, of R$3,45 million, is due to the delay, by the concessionaire, in sending relevant data to Agergs' inspection, in the context of the action undertaken in March 2022.
