The board of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) authorized the opening of a public consultation to improve the Transmission Auction Notice No. 4/2025. The process aims to contract concessions for public electricity transmission services.

The consultation will be held for 46 days, from April 4 to May 19, in the form of document exchange. The Auction notice is scheduled for September 24, while the contracts are expected to be signed in February 2026.

With a projected investment of R$7,8 billion, the Transmission Auction is expected to generate around 18 direct and indirect jobs and 1.178 kilometers of new transmission lines and sectioning. 4.400 MVA (megavolt-amperes) in transformation capacity is expected.

There will be 11 lots distributed across 13 states (Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia and São Paulo). The deadline for implementing the works varies for each lot between 42 and 60 months.

After the contributions from the public consultation and the assessment of the preliminary text of the notice by the TCU (Federal Court of Auditors), the Board of Directors of ANEEL must publish the final notice and the bidding notice. A technical clarification workshop on the main points of the auction is scheduled for May 9.

The Public Consultation will be available by email [email protected]. The draft notice and other information about the consultation will be published in page of ANEEL on the internet, in the Public Consultation space no. 018/2025.
