At its 35th annual public meeting, the board of directors of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) decided revoke authorizations of companies for implementation and operation of photovoltaic generating plants in Bahia and Rio Grande do Norte. The decisions were taken unanimously by the collegiate, based on a block vote with other processes.

With the decision, the Agency rrevoked the authorizations of exploration of the Solar Newen Bahia XA to XII B photovoltaic plants, both located in the Bahian municipality of Barreiras.

O director Ricardo Tili, rapporteur of the case, concluded that the companies Solar Newen Bahia Energia SPE X Ltda, Solar Newen Bahia Energia SPE XI Ltda and Solar Newen Bahia Energia SPE XII Ltda failed to comply with the established schedule

In another decision, the board of the regulatory agency also withdrew authorization for the operation of the Monte Verde Solar I and Monte Verde Solar VI Photovoltaic Generating Plants, located in the municipalities of Lajes and Jandaíra, both located in Rio Grande do Norte. 

The rapporteur, director Fernando Mosna, accepted the request of the interested company, which claimed “optimization of resources” to request the revocation. The report highlights that the plants were not implemented and did not sell energy.
