A Arcadis, CELA (Clean Energy Latin America) and Siemens signed a cooperation agreement for the development of new business with H2V (green hydrogen) and energy transition in Brazil.
The proposal is to unite the efforts of three recognized global companies to promote the green economy and accelerate the development of projects and partnerships with H2V, based on preparation of strategic studies e providing technological solutions in Brazilian territory.
Among the areas covered in the agreement, the following stand out: application engineering for electrical integration, automation and digitalization of plants, electrical studies of grid connection and plant operation, in addition to supply of equipment, services and solutions for energy distribution, automation and digitalization.
They also plan to work with financial consultancy and advice, including market studies, regulatory analysis, business plan structuring, financial analysis of investments, due diligence financial, mapping of potential partners, survey of financing sources, analysis of business models, sector strategy, M&A and Project Finance.
In practice, the three companies are committed to power of renewable hydrogen as a strategic axis for decarbonization of productive sectors, mainly to reduce emissions from sectors that are difficult to decarbonize, such as nitrogen fertilizers, mining, steelmaking, methanol and steel production, air, sea and land transport of heavy vehicles, among others.
“Brazil has a unique potential to lead the production and export of green hydrogen. This move will not only strengthen our economy but also open doors to a new era of sustainable development,” he said Karin Formigoni, CEO of Arcadis.
Second Camila Ramos, CEO of CELA, from the development of green hydrogen, Brazil can strengthen its green reindustrialization, with the attraction of new factories, more international capital, generation of local jobs, new business opportunities and new technologies.
“For the world to achieve greenhouse gas emissions neutrality by 2050, Brazil starts to do its part and can even take advantage of a great opportunity to accelerate its socioeconomic and environmental development, offering sustainable products and services to the world”, he added.
“We believe that the Development of green hydrogen in Brazil offers significant opportunities to accelerate the decarbonization of productive sectors that are difficult to reduce emissions with technological solutions for electrical infrastructure and distribution, simulation with digital twins and end-to-end integration of all energy and industrial infrastructure”, concluded Fábio Koga, director of the Electrification and Automation area at Siemens.
