Athon Energia intends to raise R$605 million with incentivized debentures

A Athon Energy, developer and manager of DG plants (distributed generation), launched three issuance offers encouraged debentures, with the aim of raise a total of R$604 million in the capital market.

The amount will be used to develop new projects. According to information on the company's website, the goal is to build a portfolio of at least minus 100 MW in the next three years.

The debentures, each worth R$1, will be distributed in three issues, in the amounts of R$ 202 million, R$ 220 million and R$ 183 million. Currently, the offer is in the presentation phase to potential investors (roadshow), with the BTG Pactual Bank the person responsible for coordinating the operation.

Incentivized debentures allow companies to raise funds on the market to finance infrastructure projects, offering investors exemption or reduction of Income Tax on the income obtained.
