Esporte Clube Bahia SAF announced a long-term agreement with Neoenergia for the supply of renewable energy in the Free Energy Market.

The partnership will allow the football club to reduce monthly electricity costs by up to 35% at the Evaristo de Macedo Training Center, located in the metropolitan region of Salvador (BA).

The expectation is that, over the next five years, the total savings will exceed R$2,2 million, in addition to making the club's structure more sustainable.

By adopting clean energy, Bahia will avoid the emission of approximately 267 tons of CO₂, the equivalent of planting 742 trees.

The Tricolor de Aço training center houses all categories of men's and women's football, from the youth to the professional teams, and now incorporates a more efficient and environmentally responsible energy consumption model.

“The partnership with Neoenergia goes beyond football and social issues, with which we already have this partnership in the Bora Bahêa Meu Bairro project,” he said. Vitor Ferraz, Director of Operations and Institutional Relations Esporte Clube Bahia SAF.

According to him, this is a “new moment that demonstrates that the Squad is also committed to expanding its sustainability goals by creating, within football, an awareness of the importance of increasingly efficient consumption of renewable energy”, he highlighted.

With this initiative, Bahia s a growing group of companies and sports institutions seeking to reduce operating costs and adopt more sustainable practices, reinforcing the role of football in raising awareness about the importance of clean energy.
