During the Intersolar 2024 event, the BSW (Bundesverbandes Solarwirtschaft), German Solar Sector Association, highlighted the solar thermal technologies to industrial applications e district heating. With the presentation entitled “Heat is Half – Solar Thermal Technologies for Industrial Applications and District Heating”, held on June 19, 2024, in Munich, the organization emphasized the importance of using solar thermal energy to to supply to half do energy consumption in Europe.

BSW Solar presented efficient and cost-competitive solutions capable of providing temperatures of up to 400°C, becoming a viable option to generate heat in industrial processes, such as distillation or fusion of nitrate. Furthermore, they addressed the use of solar thermal systems large-scale for heating e cooling with low carbon, utilizing seasonal storage as a key part of supply.

BSW also explored success stories, financing options, current market dynamics and future trends, with presentations from renowned industry experts. THE Canal Solar was present at the event, covering these discussions and highlighting the relevance of these technologies for the energy transition in Europe.
