BYD will manufacture modules with greater power

s are recommended for residential systems and agribusiness solutions, for example

In order to meet growing market demands, BYD announced that it is expanding its production capacity to launch photovoltaic modules with higher nominal power. According to the manufacturer, the new s, which have a power of 450 W and an efficiency of 20,9%, are suitable for residential systems, agribusiness solutions, commerce, industry and off-grid generation.

“This launch shows how committed BYD is to expanding its participation in the solar energy segment in Brazil. The company also invests in research and innovation to create more efficient products adapted to the Brazilian climate reality”, highlighted Adalberto Maluf, Director of Marketing and Sustainability at BYD.

To start manufacturing solar s with 450 W, the production of polycrystalline modules, model/family P6K, of 335 W, and monocrystalline model/family M7K, of 395 W, will be reduced, as reported by Canal Solar last Monday (16).

In a statement, the company stated that, to avoid any type of inconvenience caused by the lack of product for projects that are in the approval and/or negotiation phase, it increased the stock of these s, allowing partners to issue new purchase orders by August 31st for the P6K family and until September 30th for the M7K family.

Expansion

BYD recorded growth of more than 40% in the sale of modules in the second half of 2020. Because of this, in the first half of this year, opened another shift at its factory, hiring around 60 new employees.
