O CCR Group becomes a partner in three wind farms Neoenergia Oitis in Piauí. The mobility infrastructure company and the distributor neoenergy signed a contract for the first project in the CCR Group's self-production modality.

The project includes access to energy produced by the Oitis 2, Oitis 4 and Oitis 6 plants. The energy generated by the wind farms will meet 60% of the company's current demand.

Neoenergia Oitis is a wind complex made up of 12 parks, located between the states of Piauí and Bahia, with 103 wind turbines of 5,5 MW each, totaling an installed capacity of 566,5 MW, enough to supply a city with 2,7 million inhabitants.

The company expected to have 100% of its assets supplied by renewable sources by 2025, objective that has already been achieved this year with the migration of assets to the free market, the purchase of IRECs and investments in distributed solar generation.

According to Pedro Sutter, Vice President of Sustainability, Risk and Compliance at CCR Group, the company is one of the 50 largest consumers of electricity in the country and investment in renewable sources is a fundamental pillar for reducing the carbon footprint of its operations.

“Having a partner with the solidity of Neoenergia helps bring reliability and credibility to our decarbonization and sustainability journey,” he says.

Neoenergia believes that the electrification of the economy is a path of no return for the decarbonization process in Brazil and the world.

For Hugo Nunes, executive director of Liberalized Business at Neoenergia, the CCR Group is a reference in mobility and this partnership s the company's decarbonization journey.

“This strategy reinforces the company’s commitment to investing in renewable generation facilities and meets our strategy of driving a cleaner, more efficient energy future for everyone,” he explains.
