After approving, at the beginning of the month, a request to hold a public hearing on the impacts of flow reversal in the electricity sector — with a focus on DG (distributed generation) projects —, the Economic Development Committee of the Chamber of Deputies officially confirmed the date of the session.
The meeting will take place on May 6, starting at 10 am, in Plenary 5 of Annex II, at the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasília (DF).
As reported by Canal Solar, the hearing was requested by deputy Lafayette de Andrada (Republicans/MG), president of the Committee, based on a proposal presented by INEL (National Institute of Clean Energy).
According to the parliamentarian, the edition of Resolution No. 1.095 da ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), which introduced the possibility of denying access to the network by distributors under the justification of flow inversion, has generated legal uncertainty and hindered the expansion of DG projects in the country.
