Rondônia, Roraima and Amapá position themselves as the cheapest states in Brazil to have solar energy in the second quarter of the year, is what the research indicates Radar, an indicator that evaluates the price of photovoltaic energy quarterly, carried out by Soleasy.

According to the study, Rondônia leads the ranking with the lowest average price of R$2,30 per Wp, representing a 9% drop compared to the previous quarter. Roraima remains the second most economical state, with an average price of R$2,34 per Wp, and a 15% reduction in costs. Amapá appears in third place with a value of R$2,36 per Wp, a decrease of 3%.

The research highlights that the price reduction is driven by falling cost of polysilicon, the main raw material for the manufacture of photovoltaic modules. In Brazil, the national average is R$/Wp 2,66, with a 4% drop in the second quarter of the year.

Central-West leads among regions

In regional , the Central-West maintains its position as the most affordable region for solar investments, with an average cost of R$2,58/Wp. The region recorded a 3% drop between the first and second quarters of the year.

The Northeast recorded the second largest price drop in the second quarter, with a value of R$2,62/Wp, a drop of 5% below the national average. The reduction, combined with favorable geographic conditions, makes the location attractive for investments in residential photovoltaic energy.

The South saw a 9% drop in prices to R$2,60/Wp, consolidating itself as the second cheapest region in the country for installing photovoltaic systems. On the other hand, the North continues to be the most expensive region for installing solar energy, despite a price drop greater than the national average, with a cost of R$2,79/Wp and a 5% reduction in prices.

The Southeast, in turn, had the smallest price reduction among all regions of Brazil, with an average value of R$/Wp 2,74 and an average decrease of 1% between quarters, driven by the performance of Minas Gerais, which was the only state not to record a reduction in prices.

For Fabio Carrara, founder and president of Solfácil, Brazil is experiencing a historic moment for solar energy. “The cost of solar energy has never been so affordable. We have seen constant reductions every quarter, and the country is already recognized as one of the world’s leading powers in implementing solar energy projects. With the continuous reduction in costs, it is expected that more people will choose to invest in this sustainable source of energy,” said the executive.

  1. Good morning, Solar Energy should come to everyone, but the materials are expensive, COELBA's energy bills are absurd, I would really like to have Solar Energy.

  2. There is no doubt that we will be one of the most important players in solar generation and this constant drop in the prices of solar modules needs to be accompanied, especially by inverters, the so-called heart or intelligent part of the system. There is also a culture of resilience with reference to the greater adoption of this precious generation for environmental sustainability, although, surprisingly, the largest installed capacity is found in the residential sector, or isolated family units. Large consumers, such as shopping malls; supermarkets; large condominiums; parking lots; gas stations and the like are behind. They are spending rivers of money and the majority have adopted the free energy market, which offers a maximum savings of 40%, while solar opens up a possibility of 80%, being conservative. 3. The s should be cheaper, but what stops many people from installing solar energy is that the projects they charge for and the s are too expensive. I would have really liked to have installed solar energy, but it is too expensive.

    1. What is your status?
Do you want to pay in cash? (Because if you are going to finance, the ideal is to do it with the fixed installment at the same amount that you already pay to the dealership. Your outlay will be the same. (Or you can do nothing and not have bought anything in 4,5,6, 7, XNUMX or XNUMX years)
