The GSE Group has completed the delivery of a hybrid solar system to the Branco Peres Group, which operates in the agribusiness sector in Brazil.
Located in Valparaíso (SP), the project was custom-developed to meet the energy requirements of a large-scale operation.
The new hybrid system – which combines photovoltaic solar generation with diesel generators – guarantees a reduction of up to 70% in diesel consumption, thanks to on-board intelligence and optimized operational control.
High performance with embedded intelligence
With 1.210 kW of nominal power and 1.797,06 kWp of total installed power, distributed across 2.946 610 W Helius Sunlink PV solar modules, the project also integrates:
- 11 Solis 110 kW AC inverters;
- 6 DIESEL Generators of 742kVa;
- 2MW of concessionaire ensuring efficiency and robustness in energy conversion.
Furthermore, one of the project’s distinguishing features is the development of an intelligent remote control, a PLC designed after a detailed study by the GSE Group’s Research and Development (R&D) team. This exclusive technology allows the creation of a system that:
- Automatically predicts the activation of irrigation loads according to demand;-
- Manages the activation of any generating source — solar, diesel or electrical grid — always prioritizing the most economical and efficient;
- Avoids excessive use of water from reservoirs, activating irrigation systems only when really necessary.
A technological milestone in the sector: the first hybrid system as a command center
This is the first project in Brazil with this technology, where the hybrid system acts as a communication and command center for all energy generation and installed loads. All pump rooms are interconnected by fiber optics and communicate in real time with remote units, allowing precise, automated and remote control.
This complete integration makes the system highly efficient, with accelerated payback and much more intelligent, reliable and economical operational control.
“More than delivering energy, we deliver energy intelligence. The project for Grupo Branco Peres is a clear example of how our engineering adds value to the client’s business, with tailored solutions and real results”, he states. Fernando Negri, Commercial Director of the GSE Group.
“With this project, we strengthen our role as strategic partners in agribusiness. We deliver a robust, connected and sustainable solution, in line with the growth and innovation of the Branco Peres Group”, he adds. Geovani Magalhães, CEO of the GSE Group.
