City seeks companies to implement photovoltaic system

Interested companies must submit their proposals by Friday (23)

The tender is open for the installation of a photovoltaic system in the city of Maravilha (SC). Companies interested in participating in the dispute in the price taking have until July 23 to submit their proposals. The maximum investment value is R$66.764,12 and the investment will be used to implement a photovoltaic solar energy system in the building of the Municipal Department of Agriculture.

Currently, the city has 1,6 MW of installed power from solar sources, 107 photovoltaic systems installed and 172 UCs (Consumer Units) receiving credits, according to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).

Mayor Sandro Donati comments that the adoption of alternative and sustainable means of energy was a commitment made in the Maravilha Development Agenda and the first project will serve as a basis for future installations in other locations.

“It is with the future and a sustainable city in mind that we are taking this first step. Solar energy is already widely used in various sectors of the private sector, on rural properties and we have to follow this technology and implement it with economy and sustainability in mind”, he declares.

The Secretary of Agriculture, Pedro Gilberto Ioris, highlights that the project foresees the installation of solar s on the roof of the building's structure to generate the energy necessary for the building. The estimate is that in 48 months the project will have already generated savings on the amount invested.

Following the project approved by the Economy, Science, Technology, Mines and Energy Commission of the Legislative Assembly, which provides for the mandatory installation of a solar collection system in new public buildings in the State of Santa Catarina, the implementation of the photovoltaic solar energy system in Maravilha aims to provide more sustainability and savings, in addition to reducing costs.
