A new photovoltaic solar plant was inaugurated this Wednesday (4), in Arinos (MG), with a private investment of R$ 1,42 billion, attracted entirely by the Government of Minas, through the State Secretariat for Economic Development and Invest Minas – the investment promotion agency of the Minas Gerais government.
The project developed by Newave Energia SA has an installed capacity of 435,8 MWp and will generate around 300 direct jobs in the region, in addition to increasing the production of photovoltaic solar energy in Minas Gerais – a state that already s for more than 21% of Brazil's production.
The inaugurated solar plant also has relevant investors, such as Gerdau, one of the largest Brazilian multinational steel producers, and the stock brokerage XP.
Established in 2021, Newave Energia SA operates as a retail energy trader and currently has a 2,5 GW portfolio of photovoltaic and wind solar energy projects.
