O The smarter E South America, which will be held between the 27th and 29th of August at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo (SP), will promote the Power2Drive conference – bringing together industry leaders, policy makers and innovators to explore the growing Brazilian electromobility market

The event will feature a series of round tables and enlightening discussions, focusing on recent advances, challenges and opportunities in sector – which is happening expanding considerably, stimulated by growing consumer interest in sustainable transport and favorable public policies

According to Solar Promotion International, the congress opens its doors with a that brings together experts to discuss growth and opportunities in the Brazilian electric mobility market. They will also discuss the role of public policies and the actions needed to promote the sector, offering a detailed overview of current trends and challenges.

In addition, the conference will also focus on the innovations in EV (electric vehicle) recharging. Covering everything from charging patterns to variable pricing solutions, attendees will receive insight into the smart charging technologies, with application in residential and public environments. This segment will focus on how these technologies can be effectively integrated into today's market.

Battery challenges and EV charging realities in Brazil

Power2Drive will also bring professionals to explore everything from battery design to the latest innovations in materials and fast recharging technologies. According to the event organizers, it will be an excellent opportunity to understand solutions to the challenges of durability and recycling, aiming for efficiency and sustainability.

To conclude, the conference will address the practical experiences of companies that are leading the way in charging infrastructures in Brazil. Focusing on best practices and learnings drawn from real cases, participants will gain insights into how to overcome technical and economic obstacles, providing a critical view of what works in the Brazilian electric mobility scenario.

Electric vehicle market is expanding

EV adoption is on the rise, following notable investments in charging infrastructure and advances in battery technology. Key trends include the development of smart charging solutions and the integration of renewable energy sources to charge cars.

However, the market faces several challenges. According to Solar Promotion International, the high initial cost of electric cars and limited charging infrastructure are major barriers to universal adoption. On the other hand, there is a need for standardized regulations and public policies to guarantee the harmonious development of the segment.

Sustainable growth also fundamentally depends on resolutions related to the useful life of batteries and their recycling, and the economic viability of infrastructure expansion. Overcoming these challenges to build a robust and sustainable electromobility ecosystem in Brazil requires coordinated efforts between public policymakers, industrial leaders and technological innovators.

“We are excited about Power2Drive South America, a decisive event that brings together the brightest minds and leading voices in the electromobility sector. This congress aims not only to discuss the current situation of the segment, but also to conceive and forge its future”, said Florian Wessendorf, general director of Solar Promotion International.

According to the executive, the Brazilian electromobility market is going through a crucial moment and, through collaborative dialogue and innovative ideas, it is possible to face the challenges and take advantage of the immense opportunities that the country has ahead.

“With smart charging technologies, innovative energy storage solutions and case studies, Power2Drive is the best place for us to share transformative ideas and strategies. We are excited to see the impact this meeting will have on advancing sustainable and efficient electromobility in Brazil,” he highlighted.

Too many fairs

Power2Drive will be held in parallel with Intersolar South America – the largest fair and congress in Latin America for the solar sector; to ees South America – essential event for batteries and energy storage systems in Latin America; and Eletrotec+EM-Power South America – electrical infrastructure and energy management fair. The four fairs make up The smarter E South America platform.
