Market, Regulation and Business Models in Solar Energy Course

The course addresses the formative and structural aspects of the Brazilian Electricity Sector (SEB), establishing the distinction between Regulated and Free Contracting Environments (ACL and ACR), in addition to deepening the legal and regulatory analysis of projects classified as distributed energy generation (GD), based on current regulations – Normative Resolution – REN 482/2012 of the ANEEL.

In the Distributed Generation modality, the various business models currently permitted by the regulation will be presented and analyzed, addressing the regulatory, contractual aspects and tax implications of each model, with comments and debates on the legal structures applied in each modality provided for in the standard: Installation in the consumer unit itself (roof), Remote Self-Consumption projects (Leasing Areas, Equipment and Operation and Maintenance – O&M), Shared Generation (Consortia and Cooperatives), as well as Projects with Multiple Consumer Units (Condominiums). In the Free Contracting Environment (ACL), the main aspects and risks involved in formatting the business will be addressed, as well as the main discussions at the moment, such as proposed changes for Market security (called weekly contribution), hourly PLD, Trader Retailer, as well as reducing the limits for migration to Mercado Livre.
