Crea-SP (Regional Engineering and Agronomy Council of the State of São Paulo) found more than 580 irregularities in online ments offering engineering services and other activities in the technological area.
The task force was carried out virtually by 20 inspection agents for three weeks, with the last phase ending on July 30th.
“What should have been an action to identify professionals who services with signs of selling ART (Technical Responsibility Notes) in digital media, ended up becoming a rigorous and thorough investigation, given so many irregularities found, fertile ground for increase in illegal actions of all kinds”, highlighted engineer Maria Edith dos Santos, superintendent of Inspection at the agency.
According to Crea-SP, the scan was carried out in all possible forms of e-commerce practice, from ments published on the websites of e-commerce solutions companies, social networks and search engines available on the internet.
The task force pointed out that the illegal sale of ARTs tops the list of irregularities, ing for almost 39% of the total ments identified, followed by the sale of fake diplomas, with more than 36% of cases.
Other irregularities found were sales of Crea-SP cards, job offers with values below the professional minimum wage stipulated by law, sale of functional cards, sale of projects and unauthorized use of the agency's logo in supposed partnerships for the commercialization of medical assistance and other services.
After the action, Crea-SP forwarded cases that suggest criminal practices to the Federal Police to the legal area of the Council and processes were opened to be forwarded to the Specialized Chambers and the Ethics Committee to judge cases of professional misconduct. .
According to Maria Edith, the objective is to put an end to the illegal commercialization of these services, remove those who are committing irregularities from the market, and, above all, guarantee the safety of the population. “As with activities offered traditionally, it is important that the online market is also occupied by those who are qualified to do so, work ethically and responsibly, and, therefore, offer a service with guaranteed quality”, highlighted the engineer .
She also emphasized that complaints are great allies in the work that Crea-SP has been carrying out to increase the safety of s of engineering services. “If you, professional or , notice any ment that suggests the sale of ART or other services, report it so that Crea-SP can curb and put an end to this type of practice,” she advised.
