About 2 billion yuan invested, as well as an annual production capacity of 6 GW in photovoltaic modules and 6 GW in cells, occupying an area of 150 thousand m² and more than 1.400 jobs.

These are some of the data from DAH Solar's TOPCon manufacturing base, which is located in Chaohu Economic Development District, Anhui Province, China.

Construction was completed in March 2023 and the company’s first TOPCon N-type high-efficiency cell was produced on May 11, 2023, which represents an industry record – given that the plant achieved high cell efficiency just 23 days after its inauguration. In fact, three months later, a record cell efficiency of 26% was achieved.

In total, there are two manufacturing plants: one for TOPCon cells and the other for solar s. The TOPCon production line has state-of-the-art equipment adopting PE-poly and Laser SE technologies, which results in a cell conversion efficiency of 26,9% in mass production, as proven on site by Bruno Kikumoto, director of Canal Solar, during his visit last Monday (10).

“I visited two factories. In the cell factory, they basically transform wafers into cells. It’s really cool, different from what we’re used to. I found it to be very automated and all the processes organized. I also found the module factory to be very organized, with cutting-edge equipment, very technological, and you can see the company’s concern with the quality of the s. In the short time we were there, we noticed that this concern is indeed there,” Kikumoto emphasized.

Expansion plans

To ensure the continuous supply of high-efficiency and quality products to the global market, the company said it will continue to invest in expanding its production bases.

Proof of this is that a new, fully verticalized plant – from the ingot to the module – with a total capacity of 10 GW is currently under construction in Shanxi, China.

“DAH Solar stands out for its innovative spirit. We are always presenting disruptive solutions to our customers. We are proud to bring to the Latin American market, especially Brazil, the best and most advanced technologies available,” concluded Felipe Santos, DAH’s LATAM Sales Director.
