The gates of Expo Center North, in São Paulo (SP), were opened this Tuesday (27) for the first of three days of Intersolar South America 2024: the main Latin American innovation event in the photovoltaic sector.

In total, over 55 thousand visitors are expected over the three days of the fair, which features a series of news presented by manufacturers, distributors and other companies of the national and international market. For the fourth consecutive year, the Canal Solar is present with its own stand.

Check out the highlights of the first day And also be sure to stay tuned to our social media so you don't miss any information about the photovoltaic sector's main event of the year. To the The information below is being updated throughout the day.

Opening

The event began with a welcome talk given by Rodrigo SauaiaCEO of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), together with other professionals.

The executive commented that the solar fountain has been breaking records in Brazil and around the world. “In 2023, the world reached 1,5 TW in operation, with more than 400 GW added throughout the year. By 2024, the planet should sur the 2 TW mark,” he said.

According to the executive, such growth is directly related to the technology price reduction that make up a photovoltaic system, which fell by almost 50% in the international market last year.

“We have seen several uses of solar sources, especially in our country, whether in buildings, agribusiness, carports and hydroelectric plants, which has helped our growth. By 2028, the world expects to exceed 5 TW of global installed capacity”, commented Sauaia.

Although society and the sector are doing their part, the lack of public policies that point to a sustainable direction still prevent the country from achieving a faster and higher quality energy transition.

According to Sauaia, it is possible that the country will stop emitting greenhouse gases by 2030 if the public sector values the use of renewable sources more.

“Data from the National Institute of Socioeconomic Studies, for every R$1,00 given to renewable sources, R$5,60 is given in subsidies for fossil sources", he said.

In addition to issues involving the public sector, Ronaldo Koloszuk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABSOLAR, commented that the solar market also faces some macroeconomic challenges today, such as high interest rates and fiscal issues.

However, according to him, as the demand for energy will continue to grow, there will be many opportunities to promote the source in the country, especially with the arrival of new related technologies, such as storage and electric vehicles, for example.

“For every hundred electricity bills in the country, four are now supplied by solar energy. In Australia, today, however, there are 30. Therefore, solar energy in Brazil still has a long way to go, being a segment that has many opportunities for everyone. There are companies today that are going to be gigantic,” he said.

BTG Pactual launches program for integrators

O BTG Pactual Empresas was present on this first day at the Canal Solar, presenting the Conexão Energia program, which will bring differentiated rates to Brazilian integrators that stand out in the photovoltaic market, as well as qualifications to improve their installation services.

“We are creating a program that is very complete and disruptive. Today, no conventional bank operates in this way. It is a program that aims to build relationships and benefits for this end partner,” highlighted Gustavo Cintra, Energy Director at BTG Pactual Empresas.

HDT launches platform that connects solar players

HDT, a hub for high-value solutions for the energy market, announced the launch of a platform to connect companies that generate shared energy with distributors of photovoltaic kits and, consequently, with integrators.

And on this first day of Intersolar, Órigo Energia and BelEnergy ed in this cooperation during a ceremony at Huawei's stand at Intersolar.

According to the companies, the platform will allow integrators, linked to BelEnergy, to have a complementary option to their operations in the market, opening up new business possibilities. By ing the platform, through Órigo shared energy generation, they will receive cash credits to use in future sales of Huawei equipment.

Canadian presents solutions in photovoltaic modules

A Canadian Solar presented at its stand as one of its main novelties two photovoltaic modules with N-Type TOPCon technology: the TOPBiHiKu7, with power of up to 715 W and ideal for ground-based plants; and the TOPBiHiku6 Anti-Dust solar , which does not have aluminum frames at the end of the module, preventing accumulations of dirt and offering a generation gain of around 2%.

Fox ESS introduces new inverters and vehicle chargers

Fox ESS presented a series of products at Intersolar aimed at environmental preservation. Highlights include the G-Max energy storage system, the EP5 and EP11 batteries, the EV Charger vehicle charger and the “Fox Cloud 2.0” application, which includes the “Fox Forest” functionality, allowing s to track their devices and monitor energy consumption.

The company also showed its EP5 and EP11 batteries, compatible with all of the brand's hybrid inverter lines, including the H1, KH, H3, H3-Pro and US series. They can be connected to up to four units in parallel via a junction box, allowing flexible system expansion.

The series of chargers for electric vehicles, which includes the A7300P1-E, A011KP1-E-2 and A022KP1-E-2 models, have power options ranging from 7,3 kW (single-phase 220 V) to 11 kW and 22 kW (three-phase 380 V), being able to meet different charging needs, from domestic use to installation in commercial establishments and public charging points.

Romagnole presents new fastening structures

Romagnole officially launched solar skids for plants from 1 MW to 5 MW and its new structures for roofs, called Speed Fix, which brings the benefit of fixing on the side, providing faster assembly and installation of photovoltaic modules for microgeneration systems.
