Customers who depend on home ICUs (life equipment) in the concession area of FL Piratininga will benefit from the installation of photovoltaic systems through the Energy Efficiency Program.

Two types of systems will be used in the implementation. The first is the traditional one, with equipment installed on the roofs. The second will be the metal pole, and a structure that is placed on land to serve homes that are not able to receive the structure on the roof.

In total, systems will be installed in 300 homes, with 200 homes receiving the system on rooftops and 5,1 homes receiving the system on poles. In total, R$XNUMX million will be invested.

According to FL, the investment This is justified since life equipment often needs to be connected 24 hours a day, making a constant power supply necessary.

In addition to the installation of s, the program includes replacing more than 9 light bulbs with more energy-efficient LED models in 2,3 homes. To benefit, you must prove that you are dependent on the devices and be ed for the social electricity tariff.

According to Walter Barbosa Júnior, Energy Efficiency Manager, “in addition to being expensive, intensive care can require the family member’s full attention, further reducing income. It was by observing conditions like these that we developed specific actions to reduce the electricity consumption of these customers.”

With the initiative, it is estimated to generate annual savings of 844,17 MWh, equivalent to more than R$670 thousand, including the customers benefited.
