A EDP, a renewable energy company in Brazil, announced the acquisition of 33 solar plants in GD (distributed generation). The transaction, carried out in the form of distributed mini-generation in partnership with Tangisa, was approved, without restrictions, by the Cade (istrative Council for Economic Defense), as per the order published in DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) last Monday (9).
With the purchase, the group, which already has 90 plants and an installed capacity of 258 MWp, plans to double this number, reaching 500 MWp by 2026. The acquired projects are in the construction or development stages and are located in Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and Paraná.
Although the value of the transaction has not been disclosed, EDP reinforces that the investment is in line with its global strategy of leading the energy transition and expanding the use of clean sources in Brazil.
