Eletrobras sold its minority stake in Copel (Companhia Paranaense de Energia). The announcement was made earlier this week. The transaction was worth R$125,3 million. In total, 15.307.740 common shares of Copel were sold.

According to the company, the measure is part of the company's strategy of simplifying its structure and portfolio, which includes the sale of minority and non-strategic stakes. With the sale, the company reduced the number of minority shareholdings in related and participating companies to 19.
