Elera Renováveis ​​launches operations center to monitor plants

The opening of the space will also facilitate the company's communication with sector agents

A Elera Renewables launched your first integrated operations center aiming to unify three fronts of the company's operations: asset monitoring, security control and operation and management of systems, such as large solar plants. 

The centralization of the operation is target develop strategies improve asset efficiency e facilitate company communication with sector agents, such as the ONS (National System Operator), Besides assist civil defenses and authorities in anticipating climate crises. 

The site also checks the generation of each plant in real time, using as the main tool the SCADA system – acronym in English that means Supervision and Data Acquisition. 

Through this software, it is possible to carry out the centralized operation of assets remotely without any risk and making generation more efficient, with real-time monitoring of the projects.

Currently, a Elera Renewables count with 92 projects in its portfolio, with an installed capacity of 2,7 GW, consisting of hydroelectric plants, wind farms, solar farms and biomass plants.

The photovoltaic plants that are managed by the company are:

  • Alex Solar Photovoltaic Complex: project was opened in 2021 between the municipalities of Limoeiro do Norte and Tabuleiro do Norte, in Ceará. The plant has 360 MWp of power and around 811 thousand solar s;

  • Janaúba Complex: Under construction, the project located in Minas Gerais will be one of the largest solar parks in Latin America, with a total installed capacity of 1,2 GW;

  • Alto Cielo Solar Complex: The project is located in the municipality of Tomás Gomensoro, in Uruguay, with around 26,3 MW of installed capacity;

  • Amanecer Solar Complex: It has 101 MW of installed capacity and is located in Copiacó, Chile. The complex was added to the company's portfolio at the beginning of this year.
