The Emirates Group has partnered with Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, for co-location services at the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. The data center, located in the park, is the largest solar-powered in the world, as certified by Guinness World Records.
The co-location initiative represents a significant shift for the Emirates Group’s robust technology infrastructure as the organisation prepares for its next major phase of growth.
The airline expects to begin relocating its data center in mid-2026 to Moro Hub, which will provide comprehensive co-location services including rack space, power, cooling, equipment supply and other associated services. With this move, the Emirates Group will be able to use 3.000 MW of clean energy annually, which is required to power the data center.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Director General and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), with signatures from Michael Doersam, Chief Financial and Corporate Services Officer of Emirates Group, and Engineer Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Digital DEWA.
“We are proud to strengthen the group’s sustainability journey with this strategic move to the world’s largest solar-powered green data center at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park,” said Al Tayer.
“This strategic alliance with the Emirates Group “Moro Hub underscores Dubai’s dedication to accelerating digital transformation and strengthening its global position in sustainable aviation. By ing forces with them, Moro Hub is poised to drive sustainable economic growth and ensure a future driven by innovation and sustainability, thereby cementing Dubai’s leadership on the global stage,” he stressed.
According to Michael Doersam, the partnership with Moro Hub is an important step for Emirates’ technology landscape as the airline prepares for the next era of growth and expansion. “Both organisations share a common vision of positioning Dubai as a global leader in technology, innovation and sustainability.”
“By moving our digital operations to Moro Hub, we are building operational resilience, scalability and, above all, reducing our environmental footprint. The adoption of clean energy solutions reinforces our commitment to a greener, technology-driven future,” he concluded.

Dear all, the accelerated expansion of Data Centers has been happening in much of the world. To meet this increase in demand and consumption, expanding the installed power capacity by traditional means is unrealistic. This is where solar generation comes in, filling the gaps needed to supply these data centers. Brazil has extremely favorable conditions, as it is well known that our solar energy potential is one of the largest in the world. Also favoring this expansion of solar generation is the fact that the prices of equipment and accessories have been experiencing a steep drop, which contributes to the reduction of the return on investment time, contributing to an excellent Internal Rate of Return (IRR) that is impossible to match by the investments offered by the traditional market.
