Enel Brasil has launched a Public Call (P 001/2024) to finance energy efficiency projects in the company's three distributors in the country. Until March 7, 2025, customers of the concessionaires in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Ceará who meet the requirements described in the notice will be able to their energy efficiency projects.
In total, R$59,5 million will be made available, of which R$10,6 million will be for public lighting initiatives and R$48,9 million for projects of other types. In São Paulo, projects with values between R$1 and R$4,5 million can be ed, in Rio de Janeiro between R$500 and R$800 thousand and in Ceará between R$250 thousand and R$500 thousand.
Financed by the PEE (Energy Efficiency Program) of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), the Public Call aims to make the project selection process more transparent and democratic. The full notice is available for consultation by consumers interested in the website.
How to participate?
Clients from the following sectors are eligible to participate in P 01/2024: Commerce and Services, Industrial, Residential, Rural, Public Power, Public Service and Public Lighting. Proposals may cover topics such as: replacing equipment with more efficient models, modernizing drive systems, installing solar heaters and photovoltaic systems, modernizing lighting and refrigeration systems, among others.
The selection of proposals ed in the Public Call will go through the analysis and classification phase, considering the mandatory documentation, the quality of the initiatives, development of the proposal and innovative actions. The evaluation process follows a methodology defined by ANEEL, through a Judging Committee, which will analyze and score the submitted projects according to the criteria established in the notice.
“Investing in projects that have energy efficiency as their main pillar, integrating technology, innovation and sustainability, is a commitment that brings concrete benefits for everyone,” said Marcia Massotti, Sustainability Director at Enel Brasil.
“In addition to reducing costs, these initiatives promote awareness about the responsible use of energy and are fundamental mitigation actions in the fight against climate change. This is how we contribute to a more sustainable future and reinforce our commitment to a fair energy transition,” he said.
Marcia highlighted that Enel is increasingly committed to selecting and ing proposals that surprise the judging committee, demonstrating that the projects were conceived collaboratively, with the participation of different areas of the ed institutions.

We value initiatives that not only strengthen the energy sector, but also contribute to decarbonization, generate positive social impact and significantly improve people’s quality of life,” he concluded.
Public Call for Projects Workshop
In the first half of 2025, distributors will hold Public Call for Projects workshops, which aim to publicize the investments made by the company annually, in addition to presenting some innovative projects already contemplated in previous editions, in addition to the amounts made available by state, legislation, schedule, contracting process, among other topics. During the workshop, participants will be able to clarify any questions regarding the notice.
Enel Brasil's Energy Efficiency Program has existed since 1998 and has already invested approximately R$1,7 billion in 995 projects focused on conscious energy consumption in equipment, improvements to electrical installations and educational actions for its customers.
