Evolua Energia announced the energization of two shared generation plants in Irecê, Bahia. Carried out in partnership with Trinity Energias Renováveis, the project has two plants, each with 1 MW of power.

The initiative seeks to expand access to clean energy in the region, serving the concession area of Neoenergia Coelba, the distributor responsible for electricity in the state. The total investment in the projects was R$11,6 million and the project has already directly generated 50 jobs.

According to João Sanches, CEO of Trinity, this partnership is part of the company's expansion project in the Northeast of the country – which has a high average energy cost – despite the high solar radiation.

“The Northeast has one of the highest solar incidences in the world, and should take advantage of this climate benefit. In addition, the population can have access to cheaper energy bills. Our work will be increasingly intense in the region,” highlighted the executive.

Evolua and Trinity form t venture focused on the retail consumer

By operating under the shared generation model, the plants enable local consumers to benefit from photovoltaic energy without having to purchase their own systems. The energy generated will be directed exclusively to Neoenergia Coelba customers, bringing potential savings on electricity bills for participants and encouraging the adoption of a sustainable energy source.

For Tarcísio Neves, CEO of Evolua, the activation of the plants in Irecê marks a significant advance in the democratization of access to renewable sources. “This project not only facilitates access for more Brazilians to a clean and economically viable source, but also contributes directly to the generation of local jobs and the sustainable development of the region.”
