Federal Government publishes ex-tariffs for photovoltaic equipment

GECEX resolutions bring revocations and inclusions of exemptions; check the list

GECEX (Management Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Commerce) published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union), Resolutions no. 282/2021 e 283/2021, which deal with inclusions and revocations of ex-tariffs.

The resolutions were published on December 21st last year and grant tax exemption for the import of solar s, photovoltaic inverters and trackers, among other BK (Capital Goods) and BIT (IT and Telecommunications Goods) equipment.

Lucas Angelo, operations manager at the company Fusion Trade Participação, clarifies that “all ex-tariffs granted based on GECEX Resolutions nº 14 and 15, of February 19, 2020, are already scheduled to have their validity periods extended until 31 December 2025”.

He also explains that for former tariffs that were requested before that, it will be necessary to make a request for an extension. For those who requested an exemption after February 19, 2021, he clarifies that their former tariff will be automatically renewed.
