O Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo – Caraguatatuba Campus (IFSP Caraguatatuba) installed a photovoltaic plant on your premises.

The project, in addition to contributing to sustainability, will promote reduction of fixed campus costs, whose economy will reverse for others contributions to benefit the academic community.

To receive the photovoltaic system, with 237 modules and a capacity of 90 kWp, the gutters and roof were completely renovated, with total investment totaling more than R$500 thousand.

From January 2023, the date on which solar energy generation will for credits in energy produced, a reduction of up to 80% in the electricity bill is estimated, based on the institute's current average expenses.

According to Juliana Bárbara, general director of the campus, with the installation of the plant, IF Caraguatatuba reinforces its commitment to the environment, seeking to contribute to reducing the emission of polluting gases, improving water and soil, climate conditions, among other benefits.
