Chinese manufacturer Risen Energy will supply the Tokai Engineering 20MW of 500W solar PV modules. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2020. The contract, signed between the two companies recently, is the first order for the 500W modules, launched in December last year.

Under the of the agreement, Risen Energy will supply modules using the G12 (210mm) monocrystalline silicon wafer. According to the Chinese manufacturer, the recently launched modules offer excellent value for money.

“The modules can reduce the balance of system (BOS) cost by 9,6% and the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) by 6%, while increasing single-line production by 30%,” said global marketing director from Risen Energy, Leon Chuang.

As already reported by Canal Solar, 500W modules will be available in Brazil in November 2020.
