A Fronius from Brazil appointed the Austrian Martin Kastner like the most new solar energy head of the company. The executive assumes the position with the mission to transform the business unit in the segment Prosumer (fusion of the words producer and consumer which, in Portuguese, is defined as prosumer (producer + consumer).
Martin assesses that “after an intense first year with a lot of learning in Brazil, during which I was able to meet our Brazilian distribution and integration partners, and delve into the special characteristics of the Brazilian photovoltaic market, I am now looking forward to taking on this new challenge” , he commented.
O new head from global manufacturer had the opportunity to follow closely as recent changes in the market PV Brazilian, with the introduction of 14.300 Law. He guarantees that, despite questions from some in the sector regarding the new legislation, the change is a common step in the market's evolution, towards maturity.
He points out that the Brazilian market has some special characteristics, but what he has seen here is a development curve similar to what Fronius has seen in other countries throughout its experience in the segment.
“The potential of solar energy remains great, but, from now on, topics such as product quality, qualified service and a complete portfolio of solutions for the generation, management and intelligent use of photovoltaic energy (prosumer) are increasingly gaining ground. importance”, he highlighted.
In this sense, Martin highlights that we next years, the consumers will witness the launch of a series of new products, especially from Fronius in the Brazilian market, such as hybrid residential inverters to new power classes for the commercial area and solutions for electric mobility.
To market these solutions and offer to “prosumers”, the company has already started expanding its network of FSP integrators. “Our clear objective is to be the leader in the Prosumer segment in Brazil. And, for us, it is essential that our partners not only know the products, but also the roots of Fronius and the company's philosophy first-hand”, concluded Martin.
