O 2308 / 2023 Bill, which regulates the production of green hydrogen in Brazil, was approved in July by the National Congress and it just awaits presidential sanction to come into effect in Brazil.

To present the main points of the new legislation and debate the topics involving the development and implementation of green hydrogen in the country, more than 300 representatives of the segment will come together, in São Paulo, in October 10rd and 11th, and on 3rd edition of Hydrogen Dialogue Latin America.

A programming will present solutions for different low-carbon hydrogen industry and market scenarios in the world, focusing on topics such as: legislation, regulation and incentives, possible applications in mobility and decarbonization of industries, production and logistics hubs, as well as certification and a set of s on green logistics.

“The expectation is that, with specific regulation and Brazil’s potential to be a producer and exporter of low-carbon hydrogen, investors will accelerate projects and, consequently, contribute to the decarbonization of industries in Brazil”, points out Vinnicius Vieira, partner from Hiria, a company from the NürnbergMesse Brasil Group.

The company is responsible for holding the event, in partnership with Guia Marítimo and AHK-SP (Brazil-German Chamber of São Paulo).

As inscriptions for the congress were opened last Wednesday (17) and the tickets – as well as the full meeting schedule – can be obtained by clicking on this link.

Investments in green hydrogen

According to data from a survey by the consultancy Thymos Energia, by 2030, the green hydrogen should move more than US $ 350 billion in investments around the world. Ao Brazil, more than US $ 28 billion, which represents around 8% of this total.

In the same scenario, an analysis by the BloombergNEF financial research institute also assesses that the Brazil should be one of the only ones to offer green hydrogen for less than US$1,00 per kilogram over the next six years. According to global estimates, in the rest of the world the same amount should cost around US$3,00.
